We all know about WMC Fest, and we all know that they’ve been working hard to secure their fund-age – but did you know they’re throwing a benefit mixer this Friday?
WMCMXR is a chance for the creative community of Cleveland to get together and geek out over WMC Fest and get to know some of its supporters. Donations will be accepted at the door, and a raffle for prizes offered by local Cleveland businesses will be hosted (including CLE Clothing, Cleveland Cinemas, Cinematheque, and more!).
At 10 local folkies and WMC Fest performers the Lighthouse and the Whaler will perform an intimate set. If you don’t remember them, be sure to check out their site and the mp3 below – think Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver and other lumberjack friendly things.
The fun starts at 8 at Cranky’s Pub in Ohio City. 18+ can get in for $3 while you legal drinkers get in for free. Enjoy the huge patio, bike friendly atmosphere, veggie friendly BBQ, and classic arcade games.
