Paul’s Tomb: A Triumph is the fifth studio album from Canada’s Frog Eyes, currently a quartet lead by the infamous Carey Mercer (see: Swan Lake, Blue Pine, Blackout Beach). It’s been three years since their last, Tears of the Valedictorian, was released to critical acclaim for its unique smattering of sound – and from what I’ve heard from Paul’s Tomb…, the years have been good to them, even with the departure of Spencer Krug. Bring on the Pitchfork Praise.
