New Release Update

The Black Keys - Brothers

Black Keys

Nonesuch / buy

Brothers is the sixth studio album from the Black Keys – a bluesy rock duo hailing out of Akron, OH. If you nabbed their Record Store Day 12″ like me, you were able to get a sneak peak at a few of the upcoming tracks. Should be a great 2010 release, with one of the best album cover arts of the year, to boot.

LCD Soundsystem – This Is Happening

LCD Soundsystem

DFA / buy

You have to search pretty high and low to find someone who isn’t at least a mild LCD Soundsystem fan. A gateway drug into a dance rock world, LCD play it cool – only releasing an album every few years to keep us wanting more. Which is why the anticipation for this weeks This Is Happening has been so great, or it could be due to rumors that this will be James Murphy’s final installment.

Woven Bones – In and Out and Back Again

Woven Bones

Kill Zoo / buy

Nothing like a little Garage Punk out of Austin, TX to spice up your summer – which is exactly what Woven Bones plans to do with their debut In and Out and Back Again dropping this week. Clevelanders will be ecstatic to hear the group are hitting the intimate and wonderfully grimy Now That’s Class on June 29. Sure, they’re a dime a dozen – but a bunch o dimes = one great summer mixtape.
