Lisbon brings New York’s The Walkmen up to an impressive number of six LP’s released by the 5-piece since 2002. With Pitchfork already knighting this week’s release with a Best New Music, you can expect this one to stay on everyone’s radar for the Fall.

In 1987 The Vaselines released 2 EP’s, became BFF’s with Kurt Cobain, put out a debut called Dum Dum a few years later, and then called it quits. Fast forward to 2010, and the Scottish group fronted by Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee decided it was just about time to put their sophomore effort on the table. With the help of Sub Pop, who released a deluxe edition of their debut last year, Sex With An X is now available for alt-rock fans of yesteryear to rejoice together over.
