Show up at 9 pm to catch Hometapes' Pattern is Movement co-headline with Brooklyn's Via Audio. I've heard great things about PIM's live show, especially their cover choices - check out this video of them doing JT's "My Love". 02.17.10Video Watch: The Morning Benders – Excuses on Yours TrulyI love filming, and I love music, and so I really love music video blogs like Yours Truly (see also: If You Make It, La Blogotheque, etc.). Recently, a band called The Morning Benders (remember Talking Through Tin Cans in '08?) let Yours Truly tape them playing the track "Excuses" off their upcoming album Big Echo while they were in the studio. 12.09.09Video Watch: Sufjan Stevens – "That Was The Worst Christmas Ever"If there's one thing I love, it's indie rock bands covering Christmas classics. If there's one thing I uber-love, however, it's indie rock bands penning their own Christmas hymns. Which is why the multi-album, Sufjan Stevens Christmas collection is my holiday go-to for merry music. To get us in the spirit, let's check out my favorite of his originals, "That Was The Worst Christmas Ever", which - as it so happens - is not too merry, after all.
